Description

Persian village rug from the Hamadan district, made in the mid  to late 19th century. The all-over boteh design which is beautifully balanced, and the abrash in the red background give this rug a rhythmic simplicity.

Wool on cotton, “old” colours; minor repairs, sides replaced, overall very good condition
