Persian Mehraban Rug
Description
This Persian Mehraban rug dates to the early 20th century. It was made by a village weaver in the Hamadan district of northwest Iran.
The wool is all naturally dyed, with the pile woven on a cotton foundation. The rug is very similar to a piece from our archive (see https://www.christopherleggeorientalcarpets.com/products/view/persian-mehraban-rug/)
This sweet little rug is in very good condition and would make a decorative hearth or bedside rug.
