Description

Marion Dorn ‘Magnolia’ design for Edinburgh Weavers, launched in 1936 in a colour scheme of mainly pastels. The screen printed velvet panel depicts a repetitive pattern of a large flower head on a loosely drawn stem with leaves, overlaid with patches of subtle colour as if applied by generous brush strokes. The velvet panel is mounted on a stretcher and in excellent condition.
